PLEXSYS establishes first Asia Pacific office at Williamtown Aerospace Centre-Technology Place

WILLIAMTOWN, NSW Australia – March 2016 – PLEXSYS Interface Products, Inc., a global simulation company specialising in modelling and simulation systems and support services for 21st Century Air, Land, and Sea synthetic training, announced today its plans to establish its first facility in the Asia Pacific region at the Williamtown Aerospace Centre (WAC) – Technology Place. The facility is located adjacent to RAAF Base Williamtown, two hours north of Sydney, Australia.

The PLEXSYS operation, located in Building A within the Williamtown Aerospace Centre, are moving in from April 2016. The facility will be the headquarters from which PLEXSYS will run its Australian and greater Asian Pacific business development and operations. PLEXSYS provides modelling and simulation technologies, as well as synthetic training solutions for the C4ISR and fighter/bomber Air, Ground, and Surface communities. Concentrations include system integration, and the development of HLA/DIS compliant 21st century LVC environment generation technologies used extensively in distributed training venues and high fidelity simulations. PLEXSYS provides superior mission brief/debrief technologies, as well as synthetic communications training solutions. PLEXSYS is an original partner in the USAF Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) program, and is internationally known for its long-haul networked training venues and expansive modelling and simulation expertise. As an international business partner to the Commonwealth and other defence focused companies, PLEXSYS brings leading edge modelling and simulation technologies that are certain to fulfil current and future joint force 21st century Live/Virtual/Constructive training needs.

The importance of Modelling and Simulation is well recognised, we are extremely excited to be opening our office at the Williamtown Aerospace Centre which will provide an excellent base for us to grow our Australian business.  Our daily focus and commitment is to make our customers more successful by matching Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) training readiness requirements with innovative PLEXSYS products and world-class support. In the coming months we anticipate we will be demonstrating the unique capabilities of our Advanced Simulation Combat Operations Trainer (ASCOT), operating in both the constructive and Virtual environment; with the addition of a F-18 Part Task Trainer in mid to late 2016, we will be able demonstrate the capability to immerse operators in the ASCOT simulation whilst they ‘fly’ the Part Task Trainer in the virtual world.

Plexsys are also looking to showcase our Emergency Response/Disaster Relief Tool, ‘On Scene Commander’, which will present to Emergency Managers with mission relevant actionable information fostering time critical decision making. In bringing the Virtual and Constructive environment into the system our Emergency Services will have the ability to ‘train how they Operate’ and be far better prepared for any Emergency Situation.

About the Williamtown Aerospace Centre –Technology Place

The Williamtown Aerospace Centre (WAC) enables organisations to be part of Australia’s national and international Defence Technology capability.  Technology Place, is currently comprised of two completed buildings with a third building due for occupancy from April 2016. Each facility has been custom designed to suit tenants’ requirements in fulfilment of ongoing Department of Defence contracts.  Each property has been built to meet Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) ready Intruder Resistant Area. All tenancies at Technology Place have access to Defence Secure Networks (subject to Defence approvals).

Technology Place is located off the gateway to Newcastle Airport and Williamtown Drive – which enables businesses to be located with other aerospace and air industry companies, and adjacent to Australia’s largest operating Air Force base, RAAF Williamtown and Newcastle Airport for ease of access all over Australia.
