Pelican Airlines (FlyPelican) will be commencing direct regular public transport air services between Canberra and Newcastle from 27th April 2015.
FlyPelican operate a fleet of 19 seat, pressurised BAE Jetstream 32 aircraft that will operate on the Canberra to Newcastle service. Canberra / Newcastle has been without an air service for over 16 months and FlyPelican are looking forward to reinstating this critical link.
Current driving times can be as much as five or six hours one way. FlyPelican will have you at your destination in just over an hour with the option of returning home the same day after a full days business or pleasure. This service is in high demand and FlyPelican has now re-opened the gateway to the Williamtown NSW , RAAF Base, home of the nation’s main fighter pilot training base, and future home of the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Lightning aircraft.
FlyPelican services from Canberra to Newcastle will commence on the 27th of April 2015, with two return flights per day Monday to Friday and a return flight on a Sunday afternoon.
